Tomorrow we leave for Europe. Jennifer and I are going with Spencer, Kirsten and Garrett. Chelsea and
Josh will be taking care of our place while we're gone, since he's
studying for the bar and she's doing her med school rotations.
Before cancer, I'd promised Kirsten that we'd go to Europe after her high school graduation. With me not working as much, we've been able to plan a longer than usual trip. I cashed in all my frequent flier miles to get us over and back, and we're mostly staying in apartments located through airbnb, with a couple of hotels thrown in. I've insisted that each person limit their luggage to one carry-on roller board each -- no checked luggage or even second a carry-on -- and we might even pull that off.
I'll try to post updates via the iPad from time to time, subject to time, wifi availability, and degree of sleep deprivation.
